Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver takes us to unexplored lands
Hermès has always had the gift of offering men seductive, luxurious and manly fragrances. In this context, the emblematic Terre d’Hermès is not to be outdone and is seen as one of the brand‘s best-sellers. Designed in 2006, it is still, in 2017, the number 3 in sales of men’s fragrances . Writing a new chapter in its history, this time it offers us an unprecedented variation of its scent, even more masculine than the original. The newcomer to the collection is called Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver and reveals a new advertisement.
Clément Sibony resumes his role of muse
For several years now, the Terre d’Hermès perfume has been embodied on screen by Clément Sibony. Thus, the new Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver is no exception to the rule. For those who do not know him, Clément Sibony is a French actor who began his film career in 1994 in the film Emmène-moi by Michel Spinosa. Accustomed to the roles of seducers, he also gave the answer to Clotilde Courau in “Promenons-nous dans les bois” or even to Isabelle Carré in “L’Envol”, before seducing Forestier in “Un fil à la patte”. A complete actor, he also finds the time to get on the stage between two films. Becoming the face of a perfume only adds a string to its bow.
The desert landscape of Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver
This time, the muse of Hermès wants to be very discreet in this advertisement. Clément Sibony lets us guess his silhouette in transparency and offers us a play of shadow and light over a desert landscape. He is standing, facing the horizon, exploring all the splendor of nature. The trip lasts only 20 seconds but is enough to give us a feeling of intense escape. A vast desert plain faces the azure blue of the sky lit by a setting sun. This new television spot is called simply “On the horizon, another Terre” (“on the horizon, another Earth”), a title in perfect harmony with what is offered to us.
The very woody composition of Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver
All this advertising is in perfect harmony with the new composition of Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver. If the first Terre d’Hermès was the work of Jean-Claude Ellena, Christine Nagel seems to have put on him a whole new look. She has thus instilled her own signature. Terre d’Hermès was a very mineral composition. Today, Terre d’Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver is becoming more vegetal. As the name of this fragrance suggests, vetiver is its centerpiece. It appears from its very first notes and is at the same time round, virile, warm and seductive. It is accompanied by a very green and powerful Sichuan pepper. Citrus notes, meanwhile, give it a more invigorating touch.
